Referrals vs Leads Explained

You are able to submit Referrals & Leads against open roles at your company or in response to Hiring team requests about contacts in your networks!

Disclaimer: The rewards you receive for Referrals & Leads may be different and you should check in with your HR team to learn more about this policy.

Referral

Contacts in your close network family, friends, previous work colleagues, etc. You should be able to get in touch easily and be genuinely excited at the prospect of them joining your company! 💙

To submit a Referral the following will be expected;

  • Feedback on your contact such as technical or cultural fit
  • A valid email address
  • You should be able to notify your contact of the opportunity, so when your recruiting team reach out they are already warmed up
  • You should provide your referred contact a genuine perspective on the culture, the hiring process, the company leadership etc.

Lead

Contacts in your extended network, communities, friends of friends, etc. You do not need to know them well but should have at least heard good things about them!👂🏻

To submit a Lead the following will be expected;

  • Feedback on your contact such as technical or cultural fit

The feedback is then passed to your talent team. If the feedback looks encouraging the talent team can reach out to the contact and bring them into the hiring process.

This is a great way to collaborate with your hiring team and give them the quick insights they need to recruit the best talent in the market before they are scooped up by the competition!
