You’re able to customize your workspace to surface referrals and prospects that are most relevant to you.
From your Settings page, you’d be able to select the departments you need referrals for.
Once updated, you will only see candidates who fall under this criteria, who are from your assigned departments.
You may change these preferences anytime by navigating to your Personal Settings page.
An effective referral program is often incentivized and engages more employees across all departments.
With Intrro, you can easily communicate your referral incentive by describing it under the Referral Bonus tab within the Settings.
Intrro also offers the flexibility of assigning monetary and non-monetary incentives for both referrals and leads. To understand how a referral is different from a lead, please see the article here.
You will see an instant preview of how this information will be presented to employees, when they’re marking contacts they can refer.
Remember to click on Save Changes after you update any bonus descriptions.
Navigate to the User Management page from the right-hand side menu bar under your avatar.
On this page, you will be able to track the overall stats of your employee onboarding categorized into users who are:
From here, click on “Invite More Employees” to start inviting participants to Intrro.
When you see the popup illustrated above, you will notice you can invite employees using 2 different routes.
Find the URL created exclusively for your company by Intrro as seen below.
Click on the “Copy Link” button to copy the public-access sign up URL to your device’s clipboard and share it with your team.
We recommend you share this link on a public Slack channel and notify your team about Intrro, why they need to join and how it benefits them and the wider team. Here's a project and comms plan template.
You may also refer to the best practices we’ve put together in helping companies sell Intrro to your team. These are highly recommended to ensure maximum participation
All employees will be prompted to set up an account like you see here, when they click on the public-access URL.
You may input your employee email address here as seen below and click on Send button to directly invite your team to join Intrro.
They will then receive an email with a brief about how Intrro works and who has invited them to join.
Your employees can proceed to sign up and join your team using the unique hyperlink shared with them on this email.
When a recruiter creates a workspace for your company on Intrro, your company domain used within the email is automatically authorized as a default parameter to identify and authorize your colleagues who are likely to sign up on Intrro.
When they sign up using their work email address using the same domain name, employees can easily come onboard Intrro.
However, if your employees are using different domain extensions, it is now easy to authorize them from your Company Setting page.
An example would be https://intrro.com and https://intrro.us or https://intrro.xyz
Different emails hosted on these domains could look like this:
Add your domain into the input field seen above and click on Update to save these changes.
Here is what the employees can expect to do after they click on the sign up link.
Intrro makes it easy to narrow down on your target candidates by creating an exclude list that prevents irrelevant contacts from your employees network to be surfaced as pending email introductions and prospects.
Another use case we recommend you use do-not-hire filters are to prevent reaching out to candidates from companies your employees have a non-solicit agreement with.
When your employees sign up to Intrro and import their LinkedIn contact book, Intrro surfaces their connections they’re most likely to know and ask them to identify who are A-players they’d like to work with in the future.
Intrro then prompts them to classify their contacts into 2 broad categories.
Under your Referrals page, you can browse through all candidates your employees have agreed to introduce you to.
You can search through your referral pool to narrow down on candidates that fit your criteria for the jobs you’re hiring for.
If there is a specific criteria you’d want to search for, we’d recommend you click on Filters to add them to create an advanced search.
When you spot viable candidates you’d want to connect with, click into their profile to review their work history, education and skills.
We recommend you also browse through any notes that have been posted by the hiring team or the employee prior to requesting a referral.
When you’re ready, click on Request Referral to proceed.
Intrro will then prompt you to select a job you’d like to sync this candidate with, from your ATS.
You can then modify the body of the email you’d be sending to your employee, which they will then forward to the contact seeking their interest to connect with you.
Click on Send Request to proceed.
Navigate to the Requested tab under Referrals page to find them thereafter, until the employee makes the referral.
It is highly recommended that all recruiters and employees mutually agree on a time frame within which the recruiters will reach out to all the candidates that employees have offered to introduce.
We recommend a maximum of 24-hours after the employee marks a contacts as an intrro.
Finding the right candidates is ultimately what counts! Navigate to your Referrals page on Intrro and type in a boolean search query to get started.
If you’d want to combine specific job titles with location or skill sets, we recommend using the advanced filters that are available to you by clicking on Filters, from underneath the search bar.
Click on Apply filter and voila! You will then see introductions you can get to candidates who match your requirements precisely!
You can save your searches to reuse them anytime when you log back into Intrro. After you set up the search parameters, click on “Save new search button” to proceed.
We highly encourage you to use a job title you’re actively working on closing, as the name for your saved search.
Each saved search is shared with your employees to help them identify who from their wider network matches the specific requirements you’re looking for.
Employees can use them as filters to narrow down on their network and mark star contacts who they can introduce.
They’re also notified about these matches on email each week, to help hiring teams get more warm introductions to qualified candidates who fall under the scope of jobs you’re actively working on.
You can now add custom tags to candidates to find them quickly in the future from your referral pipeline.
Under each candidate card, you will be able to add a custom tag by clicking on the + icon as illustrated below.
Proceed to enter a name for your tag, preferably something easily memorable that you can resonate with under the scope of roles you hire for, and click Enter to save.
From your referral or leads page, you may hide candidates who you think are irrelevant for current or future roles, to keep your Intrro environment up to date with the most suitable candidates at all times.
When you complete this action, they will no longer appear in your candidate pool, but can easily be recovered from your Settings tab.
Navigate to Personal Settings and under Personal Information, you can find the tab Recover Candidates, where you have the option to reinstate them back to your talent pool on Intrro.
Signing up to Intrro is authenticated through your work email.
Intrro uses the domain under the account owner’s work email to authenticate any users working at the same organization to seamlessly sign up and join the team.
You may navigate to the Company Settings page to modify these permissions at any time.
You’d be able add more domains to automatically authorize anyone else working at your organization from a different business unit, division or location and owns an email hosted on a different domain from that of the account owner’s.
Remember to click on Update to save changes after you add or remove domains from this list.
When recruiters sign up to Intrro for the first time, they can now take a quick tour of all the workflows they’d be using as a recruiter and delegating to the employee, when they request a referral.
Click on Test Intrro from the onboarding checklist that appears on your Dashboard.
Each new recruiter can then take themselves through the workflows that occurs on Intrro, when they request a referral from an employee and even test how employees action on their referral requests all the way up to making an introduction to their contact.
During the process, recruiters are prompted to connect their own LinkedIn network, request a referral to a sample contact, and make the introduction by switching their role to an employee, to test how Intrro works and have a thorough understanding.
Bringing all your employees onboard with your referral program is now as easy as turning on your morning alarm.
You just need to set a schedule and turn it on!
First, navigate to Invite Users, when you log into Intrro.
You can then select the Onboarding Automation tab to get going from there.
So here’s what you should expect as you move forward:
When you’re ready to go, you can click Launch to proceed and Intrro will automatically start sending messages as configured according to the schedule.
You may at any time revisit Intrro to terminate the campaign, should you wish to no longer send these messages if you’ve achieved your onboarding goals by bringing sufficient number of employees to share their LinkedIn contact book and signal who they can refer.
You can notify your employees on Slack directly from your own Slack profile by sending them a direct message, when you’re requesting a referral from them.
Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Slack Integration to find an option labelled Direct Messaging.
Click on Enable to authorize your Slack profile with Intrro and voila!
Here is an example of how your employee will be notified on Slack when you request a referral.
You can now add your own link to Goodtime, Calendly or any other scheduling tools, enabling candidates to book a meeting directly when they agree to connect with you, after an employee forwards an introduction email.
Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Calendar Integration.
Copy-paste the public URL to your calendar here on the input field illustrated above and click on Save Changes.
Here’s how the candidate will access the URL you configure from your Settings.
When they agree to connect with you, the candidate will be forwarded to the page seen above, where they can click on the Book Interview and will then be redirected to your calendar page prompting them to book an available time slot.
Communicating who you’re looking for is now simplified and more efficient than ever!
Simply save your search when you input your boolean query or using search filter from the prompt that appears.
Name them as how you’d want your employees to identify and interpret them. We highly encourage you to use the job titles you’re searching for and combine them with a specific location if you wish to.
Each saved search is shared with your employees to help them identify who from their wider network matches your specific requirements.
Under each candidate card, you will be able to add a custom tag by clicking on the + icon from the top=right corner as illustrated below.
Type in a custom label for your tag which you can use to uniquely identify these candidates with, in the future, preferably a keyword that resonates with under the scope of roles you hire for, and press Enter to save.
You may also build search queries and associate them with labels to find candidates who you’ve previously labelled.
Prior to requesting a referral on Intrro, you’d be prompted to assign a job from your ATS to the candidate.
This selection will automatically reflect on the email your employee will be sending to the candidates as you see below.
When the candidates has agreed to connect and the referral is in your inbox, they will appear on your dashboard and you can push it to your ATS from here.
You will be prompted to confirm the job you’d like to push this candidate into and their information will be immediately transferred to your ATS as an active candidate.
You can navigate to Settings and select the Notifications tab to configure how often would you like to remind your employees about marking candidates they can refer from their network, who fit the criteria you are searching for.
As an account owner, you can complete the statement to define:
Be on top of your referral program and track all your referral engagements.
YES! That means you will be notified each time when a:
These notifications are routed to you if the candidate or job falls under the department you’re hiring for.
You can customize your Intrro workspace by configuring your referral notifications based on departments you’re actively working with.
Navigate to Settings → Referral configuration to set up your departments!
To precisely filter through your referral pool to find candidates with specific skills, previously worked at an organization or holds a particular job title, you may use a boolean query on the search bar within your Referrals or Leads page.
Intrro accepts your boolean input in any of the following formats:
You’re not expected to use quotation marks when constructing boolean queries on Intrro. However, if you’d like to search for the exact phrase which may include spaces or punctuation marks or alternative spelling, it is recommended you enclose the phrase within double quotes like this: (“keyword_with_parameter”).
If you are combining two parameters into a search query, remember to use brackets to separate each of them like you see above with the operator AND/OR.
Important:
If you’re having trouble using boolean queries, feel free to reach out to us anytime at support@intrro.com
Your employees may already have friends or former co-workers who are actively looking for new opportunities and would love to connect with recruiting teams.
They can submit these contacts directly to an open job at your company and will be tagged as an active referral on Intrro.
After recommending their contacts from My Contacts as seen above, they can endorse a job that’s suitable for a contact.
Employees can browse through all the active jobs that are listed on your company’s careers page, which are synced to Intrro directly from your ATS.
After they’ve picked the appropriate role, employees will input their contact’s email ready for the introduction to be made automatically, when the recruiter approves the referral.
Once an active referral has been submitted, the recruiters who are following the department associated with the job will be notified via email.
You can find all your active referrals that are submitted by employees under Referrals, using the stage “Active Referrals” from the filters available under the search bar.
Review the candidate’s profile from here and click Approve if they’re a right fit for a role you’re hiring for.
When approved, an introduction will automatically be generated as stated previously from your employee’s inbox with the candidate in CC to connect the recruiting team directly.
At this stage, the recruiting team can sync the candidate directly to your ATS and take the conversation forward and set up an interview.
If the candidate isn’t a right fit however, we encourage you to reject the referral and leave feedback for the employee to learn how to submit better quality referrals in the future.

To integrate Lever with Intrro, you need to create an API key that will help both of these tools communicate seamlessly with each other.
First, navigate to your Settings on Lever.
You can then choose Integrations and API from the menu on the left-hand side.
Select the API credentials tab from here and under the header - Lever API credentials, click on Generate New Key.
On the prompt that appears on Lever, you’ll find an input field to submit a unique name to help identify the API key in the future.
Please input “Intrro” here to easily revisit the key anytime.
Scroll down to Permissions, and check the 4 options you see below.
Under Read Endpoints, please check:
Under Write endpoints, please check:
You will notice there is a separate section below them both under the header Confidential data access - but please keep the toggle off to restrict Intrro from accessing any sensitive data.
Now scroll up and click on the Copy Key button BEFORE you click on Done.
Navigate back to Intrro and paste the key here on the input you see above.
Swap back to Lever and click Done, now that you’ve successfully pasted the key on Intrro.
Please keep a copy of this API key on a secure notepad where you can easily access it in the future as Lever will only reveal the key once and you won’t be able to unveil it again after setting it up.
Once you save, swap back to Intrro and click on Connect.
Your Lever account will soon be integrated with Intrro.
